Why I Walk
I am Daniel. I'm a German creative director. Photography is what happens when I step away from that world.
I walk. A lot. Through Brighton, Berlin, Athens or wherever I happen to be. I'm not looking for spectacular moments. I'm interested in ordinary life: people going to work, waiting, talking, shopping, sitting alone, being together. Humans making a place their own.
I don't want to judge what I see, or tell people what to think about it. I observe. Sometimes nothing happens in the frame, but something happens in my mind. Human Habitat is simply what I see while I keep walking.

My Tools
I care about the tools I use, but not because they make the photograph. They change the way I look.
Sometimes I want to move slowly. Sometimes I want a camera with me without thinking about it. Digital and film give me different rhythms, and changing between them keeps my eye curious.
I mostly use Fujifilm medium format: the GFX 100S II and GFX 100RF alongside a GSW690III on film. Different tools, same way of seeing.
